The area
The hotel is very close to Gare du Midi (South Station), the station where all international trains arrive, which makes it an excellent starting point to discover Brussels. Walking to the city centre takes no more than 10 minutes, and all subway/metro and tram lines are just around the corner. There are free public parking spaces available nearby.
The South area of Brussels, where the hotel is located, is a very authentic zone with lots of locals. The hotel lies in between the city centre and the trendy urban areas. The famous food & antique markets, the trendy shops and cosy bars are all within walking distance. For some good shopping, the Avenue de Louise is a favourite amongst locals and tourists. The cosy districs of Ixelles (Elsene) and Saint-Gilles (Sint-Gillis) are easily reached through tram, metro or bus (10 minutes). Don't forget to check out the Marollen-district (10 min), with its unique mix of locals and antique-shoppers, traditional Brussels' food and lovely terraces.
The famous city centre is within walking distance and caters some of the best things Belgium has to offer. Whether you are going for a stroll on the Grand Place, looking for Manneken Pis or you are simply looking for the divine combination that is fries and beers (and the obligatory waffle, of course!), you are only a couple of minutes away. You can find some of the best chocolate shops in the world here, while the authentic café's will make sure to serve you a beer that is right up your alley.
