Hôtel du Palais reopened its door on June 3rd 2022, after 4 years of renovation, to host you all year long!

Hotel du Palais is a symbolic jewel of Biarritz overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Founded in 1854, the former imperial residence of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie awaits you for a memorable experience and a place to embrace with the extraordinary.
The Hôtel du Palais is the only historical Palace on the Atlantic coast, with an exceptional location on the Grande Plage of Biarritz and in the city centre. Napoleon III built if for his spouse Eugenia de Montijo.

ROOMS & SUITES
Hôtel du Palais offers 86 rooms including 56 suites elegantly decorated with a Napoleon III flair. Each room and suite offer unique views of the city of Biarritz or panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms and suites on the hotel’s top floor offer a marine ambiance with rounded windows and portholes.

An exquisite culinary experience awaits you at the Hôtel du Palais, where you can savor traditional flavors from the Basque Country’s sea and land. At La Rotonde - La Table d'Aurélien Largeau, Chef Aurélien Largeau bring you a creative vision of the Basque Country using the traditional techniques of contemporary French cuisine. Le Salon offers light meals and a selection of rare teas, single-origin coffees, and fresh fruit juices throughout the day. In cooler seasons, warm up with hot drinks and Pastry Chef Aleksandre Oliver’s pastry creations. With its cozy, stylish atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to sit back and unwind.
• BAR NAPOLEON III
With its soft, warm atmosphere, the Napoleon III Bar invites you to explore a menu of carefully-selected gins, whiskeys, and other spirits, as well as the signature cocktails created by Chef Barman.
• TERRACE

IMPERIAL CLUB
Large outdoor pool is practically a natural extension of the ocean, with seawater heated to just over 28°C. Cabanas and family lounge areas are the perfect meet-up spots to sit back and unwind. The sunny solarium has direct beach access, making it an ideal place to take in the sunset.

IMPERIAL SPA
Time stands still when you soak up the ocean view from nearly 2500m2 Imperial Spa. Freshwater pool features counter-current swimming in addition to a swan neck jet, whirlpool, solarium, sauna, and hammam. Spa services are offered in partnership with Guerlain for face and skin care and Leonor Greyl hair care.

KID'S CLUB
During school holidays, the Kid’s Club offers an exciting choice of fun-filled activities for children between 4 and 14 years old.

FITNESS & CARDIO TRAINING CENTER
The fitness center is opened everyday from 9:00 until 19:30.
Perched on the top floor of the Imperial Spa, the fitness center offers the latest Technogym equipment, which has been carefully configured to enjoy sweeping ocean views. Fitness instructors also offer a variety of water activities.
