The Cultural Institute is presently exhibiting the 120 most beautiful pieces of the Bernard Magrez Collection, made up of more than 400 works.

Bernard Magrez, owner of four Grands Crus Classés in the Bordeaux region, Chateau Pape Clément (Graves), Chateau La Tour Carnet (Haut Médoc), Chateau Fombrauge (Saint-Emilion) and Clos Haut Peyraguey (Sauternes) Excellence through wine, arts, gastronomy and prestigious hotels.

It is in 2014 that Bernard Magrez creates La Grande Maison, 5-star hotel with 6 prestigious rooms, exceptional table and residence of all the arts.

Rooms
Refinement and Elegance were the key words for Frédérique Fournier, the decorator of the rooms. Decorated in a revisited Napoleon III style, they are adorned in pink, green, flowery violet and striking raspberry-red. They place the emphasis on French crafts, with embroidered Braquenié silk taffeta fabrics from Pierre Frey, Houlès trimmings, Moissonnier furniture and products by Guerlain in the bathrooms.

Restaurant
Pierre Gagnaire, voted best world-class chef by his peers in 2015, and then voted Man of the Year 2016 in the gastronomy category by the international magazine GQ, led the gastronomic restaurant La Grande Maison Bernard Magrez.
To support him in Bordeaux, he called out for the Breton Jean-Denis Lebras, one of his most faithful lieutenant who had been with him since 11 years, particularly to lead the cuisines of the "Le Pierre" restaurant in Hong- Kong and the Sketch restaurant in London.
Chef of the Gastronomic Restaurant, 3 stars in the prestigious Michelin Guide, located rue Balzac in Paris and also of 13 Gastronomic Restaurants in the World, Pierre Gagnaire proposes a cuisine of author animated by the principle of emotion that he cherishes and shares with the owner of La Grande Maison.
