The Pautard family has been at the helm of this splendid 18th century building for the last 40 years – it was initially an inn, then a museum and now … a unique luxury hotel housed in the original building, lovingly restored in contemporary style.
Sitting just 50 metres from the ‘Porte Narbonnaise’ (‘The Narbonne gate’), the main entrance to the Medieval Walled City of Carcassonne, The Pont Levis Hôtel (‘‘The Drawbridge’’) draws you into the very heart of the region’s historic heritage.
On the northern façade, imposing corten steel elements have been added, giving the entrance to the hotel a contemporary signature. To the south, light floods the breakfast room and bar and a plant-wall brings the space uniquely to life.

At the Pont Levis Hôtel, you can enjoy the freshly pressed fruit juices, coffees, teas and hot chocolates, a selection of excellent local wines and champagnes.
On your private terrace or from the pool, you can bask in the country air. As you stroll through the grounds, among the table-grape vines and through orchards (where you are free to pick fruit in season), past the lavender and around the olive trees, there are spectacular views of the Medieval Walled City to be had.

In each of the twelve bedrooms and suite, you will find a harmony of luxury, comfort and contemporary design. Each room is unique, furnished with cotton, linen, precious woods… and state of the art technology.
2 categories of rooms, called "Superior" for the lower rate and "Luxury" for the upper rate, every seasons.

Gourmet French breakfast prepared with fresh local produce: cold meats from the Montagne Noire, omelet, fried egg, soft boiled egg with crunchy ham and soldiers, foie gras with onion preserve, smoked salmon on toast, mountain goat’s cheeses…
Fruit, jams, croissants and other viennoiseries, various breads, plain and fruit yogurts, fromage blanc, breakfast cereals, butter, honey, cakes …
High quality teas and hot chocolates, luxury coffees, hot or cold milk, freshly pressed fruit juices.
Served from 8am to 12 noon at the buffet.
For a break during the day, an aperitif, an after dinner drink or a nightcap, the bar is open until 1am with a selection of excellent local wines, champagnes, fresh fruit juices and other hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy at the bar, in the Anglaise courtyard, around the pool or in your rooms.
