Lovers of the ChamonixValley, Stella et Alain left their home in the Vercors to throw themselves into the renovation of a large chalet at the base of the Grands Montets to transform it into a "Charming Chalet Hotel".
With aged wood, warm tones, local works of artcollected over the years, fluffy duvets and pillows plumped to perfection, personalised decoration, they have tried to recreate the atmosphere of an alpine chalet.
With one side facing Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi, and the other overlooking the Argentière Glacier and Aiguille du Chardonnet, the Hotel les Grands Montets has the luxury of an ideal location combined with a wonderfully calm atmosphere.
A few steps away from the Nordic and alpine ski areas, right by the walking paths and 10 minutes walk from the centre of the village of Argentière yet still only 8 kms from Chamonix, this charming “Chalet Hotel” truly has an exceptional position.
Because of it’s proximity to the ski slopes and the ski schools, the Hotel les Grands Montets is an ideal location for family holidays in the mountains. Children are made particularly welcome, with special meals, family rooms, an indoor swimming pool and a selection of games.

The breakfast buffet is served looking out over Mont Blanc from 7:30am to 10:00am o’clock. You can sample a range of local produce from a buffet arranged on a variety of rustic platters, creating an impression of a farmers spread from days gone by.
You can enjoy a warm and relaxing time as a couple, amongst friends or with your family in the bar and lounge area which is open all day until 23.00. You can take advantage of stools around the bar, at high tables in the bar and billiard table area, as well as comfortable armchairs around an open log fire.
