Perched on the Mont-Blanc mountain range at 2,050 m above sea level, with a view overlooking the Mer de Glace and mythical Aiguille des Drus, the Montenvers Refuge is a place of history and authenticity. In collaboration with the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc, the Sibuet family wanted to renovate this site into a place of sharing and conviviality. A refuge and three catering outlets, here is the new concept of the Montenvers site. By riding the Montenvers train, visitors will have the chance to discover an exceptional location, with the Refuge du Montenvers for the mountain refuge lovers; the Restaurant du Montenvers, and the Panoramique Mer de Glace for the gourmets and the Bar des Glaciers for the sportmen.

Built in 1880 to accommodate the first mountaineers and travelers who came to visit the Mer de Glace, it displays a sober granite façade, dotted by many small windows. In 2017, this high mountain refuge will again, a new life after an extensive renovation by the Maisons et Hotels Sibuet label. Individual rooms for a romantic experience, dormitories under the eaves for mountaineering expeditions, 7-person rooms for families or friends, whatever your choice, the gentle simplicity and friendly welcome will bring unforgettable moments, in a privileged environment, that invites serenity without any concessions to comfort. Outside or inside, in the authentic and cozy dining room, the Restaurant du Montenvers invites you to a tasting of unique flavors. It welcomes you for a well deserved rest of your excursion around the mythical Mer de Glace... Dried meats, pebble soup, savoyard potée, peasant omelette, here the traditional alpine flavors are in the spotlight.
In the evening, the clients of Le Refuge du Montenvers or the lucky ones who will have privatize in the hotel will be able to enjoy a piece of a pie with reblochon cheese or a casserole of Diots. The restaurant is also privatized for events such as seminars, weddings or anniversaries.

The Montenvers hikers and Vallée Blanche skiers will stop at the Bar des Glaciers, located at the Montenvers train terminal, where snacks are prepared with fresh ingredients available all day. Completely renovated, made of rough and natural materials such as granite and wood, The Bar des Glaciers is getting a makeover echoing the natural environment just steps from the train station.

Overlooking the Mer de Glace with its incredible terrace, the restaurant "Le Panoramique Mer de Glace" proposes traditional French cuisine for the delight of sportsmen and gourmets alike. The terrace of the restaurant is accessible on sunny days to taste quintessentiel regional dishes at reasonable prices... With a capacity of 35 guests indoor and 100 guest outdoor (only during summer), Le Panoramique Mer de Glace offers you an amazing space for seminars and incentives at their peak!
