Sinner 5*

Paris, France

Hotel's website
Sinner is for artistic types, urban explorers, and individualistic wanderers, who are interested in discovering a different idea of a luxury hotel. As Sinner has made the religious, architectural, vibrant, creative and avant-garde – heritage of the Marais its own by creating a disruptive identity by revealing the expected standards of a fine hotel: excellence, flexibility, attention to detail, and genuine service. It is a tribute to this aristocratic neighbourhood, and also a nod to the happy, carefree era of the 70s and to wild nights.

From the electric relaxation of the restaurant to rooms inspired by ecclesiastical quarters, and from dark hallways illuminated by lanterns to the concept store in the crypt. The attention to detail continues in the mysterious spa, inspired by Roman baths. Like a well-kept secret, hidden behind a heavy door, it invites you to step into a private, secret half-light, and only borrows the aromas of a forbidden scent from the monastic atmosphere. And, throughout the hotel, stained-glass windows and a mystical soundtrack stand out against the opulent texture of velvet, drapery, and mirrors. Sinner marks a new chapter in the life of Paris, liberated from all the old standards.

Rooms & Suites
While winding corridors with an almost sacred, quietly opulent atmosphere are simply illuminated by the play of lights through stained glass window which decorate the walls, the glow of lanterns lead each guest to their room.
Red doors with knockers and peepholes inspired by carriage porches reveal 43 bedrooms, each of which reflects the distinctive character of a historic, forward-looking neighborhood. Tristan Auer has successfully married opposites and created a new vision of inspired hospitality.
Sitting on the top floor of the hotel, the passionately breathtaking and optimistic Justine Suite, boldly and elegantly combines the heritage of the Marais, cathedral spaces and out-of-the ordinary accommodation. It unveils itself as it draws you in and is presented as a true Parisian pied-à-terre, styled with all the elaborate touches that you expect from a temporary city bolthole.

Restaurant
Shaded by green walls, which run along the whole length of the venue, the Sinner restaurant offers a menu incorporating international flare taking inspiration from street food culture, like the Kanoun technique in North Africa. By drawing inspiration from street food, from the desert and South America, the Chef has designed the most exceptional yet accessible fusion menu. Around the table, rituals create connection and genuine, sociable simplicity. Patisserie chef Yann Brys also whisks you away to far-off places with his dessert creations infused with the flavors of exotic continents bathed in light. In the upper part of the restaurant, Sinner offers for lunch this cuisine that is joyful and spontaneous.

Bar
Revealing spectacular spaces and views of the restaurant, the Sinner Bar is a representation of an avant-garde, creative, joyful and buzzing neighbourhood. It combines an open space with an enticing and opulent atmosphere and an exclusive and more intimate room behind curtains. Sinner Bar is offering ten signatures cocktails and is inspired by the nomad “cuisine” of the Restaurant. For lunch, the Bar is offering an ethnic cuisine that is joyful and spontaneous, along with inspired desserts by Pastry Chef Yann Brys.

SPA
Located on the first floor of the hotel, the spa is on two levels, the treatments room with a double cabin and a pool inspired by the Greek and Roman baths.
In the special atmosphere of Ablutio at Sinner, La Colline offers a unique escape. The surroundings are sparse, dim, and just a little bit austere, inviting you to travel without leaving the room. In this timeless space, the columns evoke a Roman bath and are home to a pool and hammam that can extend this special time for yourself.
Every La Colline treatment, with its unique application method, is an invitation to experience Swiss Bliss, an enchanted escape inspired by Swiss nature and lifestyle. Since 2014, La Colline has been involved in research to improve the quality and speed of skin grafts through its special skin engineering laboratory.

Crypt
Opposite the reception, a candlelit crypt is a nod to the legacy of the Templars and of a neighborhood which expresses a distinct personality; it is here that Sinner unveils its selection of treasures in the style of a mysterious cabinet of curiosities.
