Originally inspired by the Art Nouveau movement that characterizes its architecture, Cristallo, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa is the first Mountain Resort belonging to The Luxury Collection. Nestled within the soaring peaks of the dramatic Dolomites range, reminiscent of a jeweled coronet and declared Unesco World Heritage, the resort is surrounded by alpine valleys and offers a venerable array of pastimes through its seamless adaptation between winter and summer seasons. A notable rendezvous for Italian high society, Cristallo’s alluring service and enchanting cultural heritage have endured for over a century. Levels of comfort and courtesy convey the hotel’s innate gracious Italian hospitality that filters through every aspect of its legacy.
Perched on a mountain edge, the distinctive Cristallo is the crowning glory of the captivating d’Ampezzo valley. Originally opened in 1901, the resort is set within a timeless landscape that embraces the unrivalled natural environs and impressive mountain views. With a wealth of transformative experiences and seasonally defined activities, Cristallo offers myriad ways to discover the compelling Dolomites. Its eminent position casts a rare perspective from which guests will encounter insightful and authentic journeys.
]ust two hours from Venice airport and Innsbruck, Cortina came to the fore as the host of the 1956 Winter Olympics and remains a draw for prosperous snow and sun seekers alike. Exuding genuine charm, where cobbled streets meet charismatic fin de siécle architecture, the town gained prominence as a filmic location during the golden age of cinema. The historic church bells reverberate across the landscape, renowned for exhilarating ski trails and exceptional mountain walks, as well as, world class retail and dining. Lined with Italian designer boutiques and traditional eateries, the innately refined Corso Italia sets the scene for atmospheric evening “passeggiata” within Italy’s prime mountain destination.
Offering breath—taking views across Cortina and the monumental Dolomites, Cristallo’s guestrooms and suites have been distinctively furnished to complement the location’s Italian heritage. Pale wood panels are offset by intricate wild flower detailing and delicate cornicing, full of regional character. Each room is appointed with a signature Luxury Collection bed, en—suite Carrera marble bathroom, heated floors and modern technology. Capturing the essence of the destination, each suite has been individually designed and includes wireless Bose speakers and coffee machine.
You are invited to discover La Veranda, La Stube 1872 and Il Gazebo: three different formats in three different locations dedicated to our Cristallo Guests and Cortina d’Ampezzo Visitors. Each one masterfully orchestrated by our skillful Executive Chef, Marco Pinelli, who perfectly matches his creativity and accurate selection of raw materials with an endless research for high quality, an expression which characterizes Cristallo new culinary identity.
La Veranda, offers a wide range of typical dishes inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine to taste during a light lunch or an informal encounter while enjoying the stunning view of the Ampezzo hollow.
La Stube 1872, the beating heart of the hotel, or better, of “the maso”. It is the most casual restaurant among ours, a perfect location to experience the local cuisine surrounded by a warm cozy atmosphere in a typical mountain style.
Il Gazebo, an elegant location, offers a food experience which perfectly combines traditional Italian flavors with local ingredients accompanied by a large selection of national and international wines. With its light glass structure, surrounded by the amazing night landscape of the Ampezzo hollow, Il Gazebo creates a high scenographic impact for all senses.
The Chef's Private Table, is a highly suggestive ambient, embraced by valued wooden furniture housing crystal and excellent wine bottles. This is the ultimate location for real fine dining experts and lovers willing to experience the totally private sensorial itineraries prepared ad hoc by our Executive Chef.
