Bulgari Hotel 5*S

Milan, Italy

Hotel's website
On a private street in downtown Milan, between Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, La Scala and the Accademia di Brera, in a tastefully renovated 18th-century Milanese palazzo is The Bulgari Hotel Milano, a five star hotel situated in the cultural and commercial heart of a city that, behind its austere façades, hides delightful and unexpected courtyards and green spaces. One such space is the luxury hotel’s 4,000-square-meter private garden, a natural extension of the nearby Botanical Garden, a restorative oasis of serenity and relaxation in the midst of Milan’s busy pace.
Designed by architects Antonio Citterio and Partners, in line with Bulgari’s bold and contemporary style, the hotel features rare and precious materials which create new combinations of surfaces and surprising chromatic harmonies.

The History
The earliest mention of the original layout of the Bulgari Hotel garden is found in the Ruralium Commodorum by Piero de Crescenza, from 1305.
The fireplace in the lounge, made of black Zimbabwe granite, weighs 15 tonnes.
One can visit the adjacent Botanical Garden inside the enormous Palazzo di Brera, which also hosts the Pinacoteca.

Accommodation
The 58 rooms of the Bulgari Hotel Milan, which include 11 suites, are all extraordinarily bright, thanks to ample windows looking out onto the beautiful garden or an exclusive Milanese courtyard, thus offering guests an unexpected sense of tranquility in the center of Milan. The furnishings and décor create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, an expression of the constant attention to detail for which Bulgari is famous. Precious materials like teak and oak give each room a feeling of warmth and intimacy.

Bar
A generous oval bar in black resin dominates this simple and elegant room, set against a spectacular glass wall that opens onto the serene luminosity of the private garden. A meeting place not only for hotel guests but for in-the-know Milanese, the cocktail hour takes on the flavor of the classic Italian aperitivo, with a wide choice of traditional and invented drinks, including the exclusive Bulgari Cocktail. The bar also offers a fine selection of loose leaf teas and herbal teas. The entire restaurant menu is available from the bar – the same excellent dishes served in a less formal way.

Restaurant IL RISTORANTE
Following openings in Beijing, Dubai and Shanghai, the three-Michelin-starred Chef Niko Romito brought his acclaimed restaurant back to where it all began: Italy - specifically, to the Bulgari Hotel Milano. Chef Niko has created his own concept around contemporary Italian cuisine, spending two years studying traditional techniques and ingredients in order to build a canon of modern Italian cooking in which flavour is foremost and the essence of “Made in Italy” comes through in every element.
The dining room of Il Ristorante is equal parts refined and relaxed, with an effortless sense of glamour that transitions seamlessly from day to night. During spring and summer, outdoor dining is available.

Lounge
The high windows in the lobby are the perfect frame to our wonderful garden. The combination of black Zimbabwe granite, fireplace, books, seasonal treats, candies and candles, create an elegant, though informal environment that invites guests to unwind. To further enhance the cozy atmosphere, the timeless touch of ancient pure silk Uzbek carpets, knotted 100,000 times per square meter by hand.

Garden IL GIARDINO
First cultivated 700 years ago, the gardens are integral to the spirit and balance of the Hotel. Gentle greens and dark stone are designed and composed with form, light and shade. With its architectural detail, this is almost another room - for eating, drinking, relaxing, wandering. The graden is composed by three main areas: Vimini area, The Isole di Ghiaia and the exclusive Dom Perignon Bar. Each part can host 50 guests maximum.

IL GAZEBO
Guests may soak up the glamour and ambiance of “Il Gazebo” in a whole new way, thanks to an immersive new private dining experience. Nestled in one corner of the garden and hidden behind a hedge of red beech trees, Il Gazebo is an impeccably turned out yet relaxed setting for dinner. Serving a dedicated menu that arrives on Richard Ginori china, it makes for an enchanting evening surrounded by friends, family and lush greenery of Milan's most beautiful outdoor space.
