In 2022 Park Hyatt Milano has opened its doors after an extraordinary two-year renovation process, starting a new chapter in the story of the iconic Milanese establishment.
In perfect harmony with the city’s cultural context and historical heritage, the hotel, a symbol of elegance and design, offers a brand-new experience to its international and Milanese guests.
With a strategic position, which grants direct access to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the exclusive 5-star luxury hotel is the perfect location to discover the real meaning of authentic luxury. Every detail has been designed to give a new identity to the overall space: from the art works to the delicate and neutral palette which recalls an understated Milanese elegance, from the perfect harmony of precious materials such as marble and oak to the stylistic imprint of the hotel’s common spaces and its rooms.
Every detail has been designed to give a new identity to the overall space: from the art works to the delicate and neutral palette which recalls an understated Milanese elegance, from the perfect harmony of precious materials such as marble and oak to the stylistic imprint of the hotel’s common spaces and its rooms. A new identity which is highlighted by an authentic fragrance, tailor-made by Lorenzo Villoresi, the well-known Florentine perfume creator. A new perfume which calls for a new beginning.
ROOMS & SUITES
The completely renovated rooms and suites of the Park Hyatt Milano highlight the hotel’s connection with the urban landscape, while enhancing a distinguished international identity which offers its guests an exclusive, personalized and engaging experience.
With gleaming elegance, the 106 rooms located on the six floors of the building have been designed for maximum comfort. The refined and discreet details which welcome guests are an ode to Italy and Milan: the rooms emphasize the typical Milanese architectural details, while the neutral color palette creates a unique connection with the Duomo of Milan. Light and warm elements define the space, from the walls to the oak parquet to the original travertine marble in the bathrooms, which feature a new washbasin in Breccia Medicea marble. Elements of contemporary design combined to classic and modern objects create the perfect combination between innovation and tradition. The furniture was made-to-measure in Italy by the Venetian company Uno Contract. Most of these furnishings are FSC certified, this ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Renowned as the unique gems of Park Hyatt Milano, the 25 renovated suites will be unveiled shortly. The four Terrace Suites, the Presidential Suite and the Duomo Suite - the most prestigious of the hotel - stand out for their exclusive and evocative panoramic terraces overlooking the city skyline.
COMMON AREAS
Great detail was paid to the hotel’s common areas, the ideal place for important meetings and rendezvous. Artists, creative talents, businessmen, travelers and Milanese meet at La Cupola and at Mio Lab bar, where they share ideas and opinions, while enjoying a moment of pure relaxation.
La Cupola, located just after the main entrance, is the beating heart of the hotel. In this sophisticated space, illuminated by the natural light coming from the nine-meter-high glass dome, a beguiling game of mirrors gives a unique privacy to the central seats without isolating them. In line with the needs of an international clientele, La Cupola has an around-the-clock restaurant and café offer, from 6:30 AM to 23:00.
With seasonal floral arrangements, the Mio Lab bar with its outdoor area is renowned for its aperitif and after-dinner drinks, and highlights the hotel’s great tradition in signature cocktails.
Finally, the gastronomic restaurant Pellico 3 Milano calls for a new culinary beginning. The bright and welcoming space, designed by architect Flaviano Capriotti, is the perfect setting for the fine dining proposals of Chef Guido Paternollo.
Making his debut with Michelin star chef Enrico Bartolini and subsequently working with haute cuisine kings Alain Ducasse and Yannick Alleno in France, Chef Guido Paternollo was inspired by his European experiences to create a new food philosophy which evolves around the raw ingredient. Flavours from France, Spain, Greece and of course Italy are carefully selected to awaken all of the five senses.
A new address in Milan’s gastronomic panorama where Haute cuisine and design blend perfectly together, a unique location for a refined culinary journey defined by seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean flavours.
The most excellent wine cellar, with an exclusive selection of Champagne, Barolo and Brunello, accompanies the guests’ gourmet journey.
With 28 seats in the main room and up to 10 seats in the private dining room, the Pellico 3 Milano restaurant, is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 19:00 to 22:00.
SPA & WELLNESS
An oasis of wellness in the city center, AQVAM Spa is the new urban spa of Park Hyatt Milano. With a Turkish bath, multifunctional showers, jacuzzi baths and a welcoming relaxation area, the space is defined also by massage cabins which offer a wide range of face and body treatments, designed in collaboration with an exceptional partner, 111SKIN, exclusively for Italy.
The London-based luxury skincare brand founded by Dr. Yannis Alexandrides focuses on the internal and external aging process and is inspired by “clinically-inspired” methods with a medical approach. It offers exclusive and highly innovative treatments with a holistic approach to beauty.
Guests may also treat themselves to a professional manicure and pedicure with Fedua Cosmetics products, beauty brand founded in 2015 by Luca Gonzini, and discover Beppe d'Elia’s Hair Jewelry Salon. With his glamourous front cover style, internationally renowned Beppe D’Elia – stylist of the most important fashion catwalks -, is a favorite among celebrities worldwide.
The gym, with the new generation of Technogym cardio vascular equipment, completes the offer.
HISTORY
Built in 1875, the building was first a hotel, then home to the Bocconi brothers' luxury department store Alle città d’Italia, which was located in via Tommaso Grossi for 12 years until Palazzo Bocconi, now La Rinascente, was built. In 2003 the American starchitect Ed Tuttle transformed the building into Park Hyatt Milano, a contemporary and sophisticated hotel with a definite international flair, in perfect harmony with the city’s cultural context and historical heritage. Today even more so thanks to this restyling project which best expresses the philosophy of Park Hyatt Milano: A destination in itself.
