A few canals over from the Piazza San Marco and La Fenice opera house stands the Nolinski Venezia. Its majestic façade, adorned with mythical creatures, the daughters of Poseidon, reminds us of the potency that La Serenissima draws from its waters. Here we enter Venetian history through the doors of the old Stock Exchange. Art Nouveau, Stile Liberty and Modernism are brought together in well-proportioned harmony, enhanced by the work of interior designers Le Coadic Scotto.
HOTEL
Take a majestic journey through the historic building, exploring five floors. Each of the 43 rooms and suites is unique, offering a timeless experience that showcases exceptional art and materials, the result of generations of artisanal skill and centuries-long traditional expertise.
RESTAURANTS & BAR
The Nolinski spirit is exemplified by its unique and multiple gastronomic offering. Its restaurants have individual atmospheres but share the same generosity, offering an authentic, Mediterranean inflected cuisine refined by sophisticated French technique. Executive Chef of Il Caffè and Palais Royal Restaurant Venezia, the passionate Philip Chronopoulos, has created the menus. He is also the head chef of the two-Michelin-star Palais Royal Restaurant Paris.
• Il Caffè
With its decor inspired by androne, as well as the art of the Gondola, Il Caffè invites you to enjoy the calm of its plant-filled courtyard. Philip Chronopoulos’s menu offers fresh, well executed, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, with local Italian products given pride of place.
• Palais Royal
Within the majestic setting of the former auditorium, the Palais Royal Restaurant Venezia is conducted like a grand gastronomic opera. The stunning tableware and the classical and contemporary works of art harmonize with the melody of sheer pleasure. The magnificent room, with décor designed by Le Coadic Scotto, draws this music up towards the stars. The exceptional service is never rushed, its tempo matched to the emotions that Chef Philip Chronopoulos strives to conjure. His extraordinary dishes combine French culinary technique with inspiration from the cuisines of Italy and his native Greece.
• The Library Bar
The Bar, which extends the colonnaded perspective of the lobby, inspires the sharing of secrets, or the kind of reading where you lose yourself completely in a book, or solitary contemplation. A library of more than four thousand books nourishes the mind, while the piano invites hands to unfurl over the keys. The ceiling fresco by the artist Simon Buret opens the imagination, like an invitation to a journey within a journey.
SPA
The Ottoman-inspired Spa and the gold mosaic-tiled pool, with its view over the Venetian rooftops, together offer the visitor a timeless sensory escape. Two separate spaces – one for beauty treatments, the other for meditative relaxation. An iconic element, devoted to relaxation, the pool is perched on the top floor, crowning the hotel with views across the entire city. The only one of its kind in Venice, the pool offers an unparalleled 360º panoramic view over the Venetian rooftops and the city skies. The remarkable breadth of the top floor space allows for an experience like no other: relax in or around the waters of the gilded pool and contemplate the surrounding pinnacles of the Serenissima.
