HISTORY
Having opened its doors on 19 June 1915, Lausanne Palace has had the pleasure of witnessing the carefree and elegant Belle Époque. As the hotel is completely integrated into the urban fabric of Lausanne, it has always evolved at the same rate as the city. • LA TABLE
Gastronomic restaurant offering culinary creations paying homage to French cuisine through techniques and associations of contemporary tastes. Here, the influence is in harmony with emotions and memories. Restaurant with a unique panorama overlooking the rooftops of Lausanne, the mountains and the lake.
• LA BRASSERIE
Classic Parisian-style brasserie with a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. You can discover a unique behind the scenes experience in the laidback atmosphere at a table d’hôte, right in front of the "pass", in front of the kitchen brigade whilst they work. The table d'hôtes can seat up to 16 people.
Green leather benches, polished parquet flooring, brass ornaments and a solid wooden staircase give it a pleasantly classic and somewhat theatrical atmosphere. Take a comfy seat at one of the tables on the raised platform, or spend some quality time at the bar. You will feel as if you are both spectator and actor in a play set in a gourmet restaurant.
Any moment now, a member of a rock band or a glamorous French actor could enter – as indeed they have done on many occasions in the past. Read the brass plaques engraved with famous names adorning the walls to see who was here before you.
In keeping with the atmosphere of the place, the menu at Brasserie du Grand Chêne takes gourmets to their favourite country: France, the country of traditionally excellent taste and timeless flavours.
• LE CÔTÉ JARDIN
Restaurant with large panoramic terrace for the summer season and veranda, offering buffet and barbecue. The restaurant Côté Jardin knows how to preserve its exclusivity and offers its guests a light and friendly atmosphere with a vacation feel. The tropics are far away and yet you could almost feel like you are on the terrace.
In the kitchen and dining room, the youthful talents are at the forefront. They bring to life this pretty atmosphere without any pretension but with elegance and passion for a simple culinary concept that comes straight from the heart.
On the buffet swing beautiful starters and desserts. Finally, the highlight of the summer season: the terrace installs its large barbecue and calls for the sun, the joy of grilling and especially get togethers with friends!
• LP'S BAR
Located halfway between Lausanne main station and the trendy Flon district, LP’s Bar is a place where celebrities, successful business people and the younger generations go to party. It has a colonial yet modern style. The dim lighting makes for a cosy atmosphere and sets the scene for a legendary bar, where you can either go to be seen or to relax in peace.
LP’s Bar aims to fulfil your every wish, from morning to evening. During the day, it is the perfect place for a coffee or tea break, as it is so close to the centre yet so far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Sitting comfortably on a sofa under the stylised tree – a landmark feature of Lausanne Palace – you are sure to be enchanted by the coquettish atmosphere of Bar 1915.
Nothing but the occasional sound of suitcase wheels gently rattling by on the polished floor would suggest that this bar is located at the heart of a hotel lobby. Named after the year Lausanne Palace was opened, Bar 1915 is an integral part of the hotel, popular with locals and guests for gourmet coffee breaks.
