The Ambassador is a short walk from the train station, at the foot of Zermatt’s main shopping street and close to the Bahnof ski shuttle and bus stop. The hotel is Zermatt’s 3rd largest, with 92 newly renovated rooms. It has two restaurants, a bar, sauna & large swimming pool.

The Ambassador prides itself in being ideal for families. Numerous apartments have two separate bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two twin beds) as well as a sitting room, often with a large foldout bed. All rooms have flat screen TVs and free wireless internet. The pool area is ideal for recreation.

The Ambassador has a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor, as well as a dining room for half board meals.
Open to guests and non-guests outside the hotel, the Chi-Ba-Bou is The Ambassador's fondue restaurant. Meat is served in a buffet for you to cook at your table in three fondue styles: Chinese, Bacchus or Bourguignonne, hence the name. A wide range of salads and side dishes are also available.
Bar: open to guests and non-guests. A friendly and convivial setting to enjoy a drink. The fireplace and live piano create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Dining room: for overnight guests on board, a healthy and varied menu is served each evening, as well as a large buffet breakfast every morning.

After a day’s skiing or hiking, have a swim in 17m pool. Hotel's state of the art whirlpool and sauna are great for relaxing.
