Unique and elegant, the legendary hotel is reborn, after several months of an ambitious undertaking nurtured by the creativity of Philippe Starck and La Réserve’s vision of excellence. La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich is a majestic building standing proud, serene, solid and calm like the wonderful days that have passed since it first opened on the lakeshore 100 years ago. Times are changing and Philippe Starck has come along with a subtly artistic and rebellious touch.

He has in fact deconstructed Eden au Lac to better rebuild it for tomorrow, even closer to its true nature. From the 40 rooms and suites, to the restaurant and the bar, everything has been redesigned to offer guests a refined and timeless experience, true to La Réserve’s values of excellence, authenticity and simplicity.

ROOMS & SUITES
The hotel offers 40 rooms and suites in eight categories, ranging from 27 sqm to 79 sqm. Located on the upper floors and overlooking the lake, the rooms were designed by Philippe Starck like onshore sailors’ cabins. Dream of the lake and regattas, adventures, light breezes and soft light from the terraces or private balconies. Various poetic surprises are sprinkled around, designed to pique guests’ curiosity and imagination as they continue their voyage and delicious daydreaming. These include nautical charts of the lake for experienced sailors and postcards of yachts for pleasure boaters on vacations.

Like the hotel, its rooms and suites reflect a quest for a structurally elegant and modern bare minimum. Natural, soft, clear colors for simplicity and comfort, solid brick and delicate rattan walls for warmth and privacy.
Interior doors in the corridors enable a wing of the hotel to be completely privatized and thus to combine various suites and rooms of different categories.
The sports studio, reserved for the hotel’s residents, is a precious, intimate, yet sophisticated setting, featuring red wood, mirrors and blown glass. State-of-the-art facilities await sporty guests looking to enjoy a moment of relaxation and well-being.

RESTAURANTS
A bar restaurant adjoining the lobby, a smoking lounge with a treasure cellar and a rooftop restaurant… La Réserve Eden au Lac is changing the culinary scene in Zurich. Exclusivity merges with a cuisine meant for sharing, as refinement blends with informality to invent a new way of enjoying life more intensely than ever. This means no more fixed schedules, with service provided all day long from 11:30 to midnight, at the bar as well as in the restaurants: Eden Kitchen & Bar on the ground floor and La Muña on the rooftop.

• EDEN KITCHEN - 1 MICHELIN STAR, 16 GAULT-MILLAU POINTS & 50 TOP ITALY AWARD
On the ground floor, with its large bay windows opening onto the outside, Eden Kitchen & Bar promises to be an essential meeting point in Zurich. Light plays on the natural leather sofas and tables, gently tinted by the multicolored stained-glass window created by the artist Ara Starck.
Light-colored floors, red wood and boat oars and hulls are just some of the design cues that create a warm and relaxed atmosphere and serve as reminders of the hotel’s attachment to the lake. The large open kitchen stages a non-stop show, in which everyone can admire the expert touch and creativity of the teams headed by Italian chef Marco Ortolani, veteran of prestigious restaurants in Italy and London, not to mention experience gained in Argentina and Hong Kong.
This wealth of cosmopolitan influences is apparent in the menu, with dishes inspired by culinary traditions from all over the world: Burrata, forgotten vegetables, basil, quinoa, pomegranate, avocado, chimichurri, macaroni, truffle, ham, Gruyère cheese; salmon with a yuzu teriyaki marinade, and exceptional grilled Swiss meat. Nor are the establishment’s local roots forgotten, Zurich-style sauté veal and potato rösti is a tribute to the city. Elegant and varied, the wine list reflects vineyards from all over the world, including great appellations from Switzerland and France, with a special place for the Michel Reybier estates.

• EDEN BAR
Eden’s cocktail menu is characterized by an elegant, minimalistic approach. Classic cocktails reimagined but still with a touch of modernism, served with in-house crafted components.
Whether a classic or an innovative signature cocktail or a glass of rosé from the Château La Mascaronne estate in Provence – nowhere can the aperitif be enjoyed in more style than in Eden Bar. Culinary delights are also provided.
Whether you’re looking to unwind after a busy day, celebrate a special occasion, or simply enjoy a drink, the Eden Bar is the “ new place to be” in Zurich. The evening will be accompanied by “Three Angels for La Réserve Zurich” at the DJ booth. Every evening from 6pm to 10pm. From electronic sets, upbeat feel-music to tech house, all styles can be enjoyed.

• LA MUÑA
Perched on the sixth floor and accessible directly via the glass elevator in the lobby, La Muña overlooks the city from its tree-lined roof terrace. La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich’s second restaurant is a treasure chest, mingling imaginary memories of moments spent on the lake with extraordinary objects found in the city and around the world. La Muña offers a unique 360° view of the historic center, with the lake and the Alps in the distance.

• EDEN CIGAR LOUNGE
The Eden Cigar Lounge – adjoining the bar area – reserved for fans of vitolas and smoke curls, where guests can enjoy a wide international selection of cigars while enjoying a whisky or a cognac. Comfortably installed in these surroundings – designed by Philippe Starck – emulating the amber colors of the bottles, whether lost in your thoughts or enjoying your favorite program on the big screen, this moment is all yours.

FITNESS & WELLBEING
To complement your jogging on the shore of the lake or your vigorous swimming, the in-house fitness room offers you the latest gym equipment. In addition, thanks to the cooperation with the Fitnesspark Stadelhofen, you can experience over 200 m2 of classrooms, 680 m2 of fitness area, as well as 180 m2 of wellness area only within 5 minutes from the hotel.
