Dar al Masyaf villas are a model of the Arabic summerhouse. Whether you have a room facing the sea or the waterway, you enjoy complete privacy amid the vicinity of a larger village life.
The spirit of Dubai tradition had to be reflected in the interiors. Madinat Jumeirah was seen as very much a centre, a hub for traders, merchants, kings and royalty – a city in the making. Amid the waterways and paths of Madinat Jumeirah are the Malakiya Villas, the most luxurious accommodation in the resort.
Translated from Arabic, the word malakiya means ‘royal’. Seven villas represent the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates and no two are the same. Conspicuously understated in their exterior, these villas are grand indeed. Decorated in traditional Arabic style using rich oak and mahogany woods, intricate tapestries and generous bathrooms covered in marbles and colourful mosaics.
Each Malakiya Villa has a private plunge pool, a private courtyard - an intimate space that celebrates the culture of Arabian indoor/outdoor living where clients can get lost of the trickle of sound from the mosaic fountain and clicking of glasses at sundown, and also a dedicated butler service - to enable any wish in a deeply discrete and personal way.
The generous service of the butlers is experienced daily when complimentary pre- dinner drinks are served 6pm in the courtyard or the majlis depending on weather.
The location of the houses, dotted around the extensive grounds of the resort, means that guests are only ever steps away from the golden sands of Dubai’s longest stretch of private beach. Exclusive swimming pools are located within the lush gardens next to each of the houses.
Long breakfasts are best enjoyed in the room’s terraces overlooking the resort’s gardens, waterways and the sea.
Guests get around the resort in luxurious gulf buggies decorated with modern Emirati art or traditional abras along the serene waterways. A walk along the beach promenade after dining in any of the 50 restaurants comes with the sound of waves, the scent of jasmine and moonlight.
Dar al Masyaf guests enjoy the heavenly experiences of Talise Spa. Jumeirah’s largest and most secluded Spa, Talise at Madinat Jumeirah is a world of indulgent escapism, where all senses are nurtured to pure serenity.
As with all Madinat Jumeirah hotels Dar al Masyaf provides access to the adventures of Wild Wadi where the children can be free to let their wild sides explore.
