Altitude Group was originally founded in 2001 as ski and snowboard school. Many years later, Altitude has come a long way and now offers ski and snowboarding lessons and instructor training courses during the winter and its famous International Summer Camps during the summer!
Altitude has grown from strength to strength and is renowned throughout the Alps for its quality of service and professional staff.
The Altitude Summer Camps are part of the Altitude Group.
SUMMER CAMPS - GENERAL INFORMATION
Residential Language Camps
Join the Language Camps to develop your language skills, make new friends from all over the world and experience the most professional, fun filled language coaching available. The language camp is designed for all abilities and is offered in either English or French in Verbier, Switzerland.
The language lessons are all run by fully qualified, Native and professional teachers who have a wealth of experience coaching children from all around the world.

Camps Structure
Every morning the children will follow English or French language lessons to build their confidence whilst also acquiring the fundamental skills of conversation, vocabulary and grammar. The class sizes are small, allowing every child to receive the required personal attention.
Afternoons and evenings will combine an exciting program of activities, sports, team building games and excursions. Children can use this time to practise communicating with fellow English or French speakeres at the Camp.
At the end of the course all children will receive a Certificate of Proficiency signed and graded by their class teacher.
Residential Mountain Adventure Camps
The Mountain Adventure Camp is designed for children who love the great outdoors, exploring nature and challenging hemselves with new experiences. Altitude offers children the opportunity to discover new skills in the mountains whilst also gaining an aptitude for leadership and teamwork.
The camp is open to all levels of ability and is run by the qualified staff, with years of knowledge and experience in the mountains. Children will share ideas and work together as a team to nurture personam growth, initiative and confidence, as well as forging a lifetime of wonderful memories with new friends.

Camp Structure
Every morning is the start of a new and exciting mountains adventure. The small groups and age appropriate activities contribute to a sense of community within the summer camp, fostering an appreciation of teamwork and a feeling of self-confidence among the children.
Afternoons abd evenings will combine a stimulating itinerary of activities, sports, team building games and excursions. Children will experience an exciting outdoor education program learning valuable skills that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Day Camps
Summer day camps allow your children to unearth the fantastic experiences of the residential camp but head home for the evenings with family.
Children are able to join either the Language Camp or Mountain Adventure Camp and will follow the same program as the residential campers, just on a shorter time frame.

Camp Structure
The activities and adventure in the morning relate specifically to chosen camp and during the afternoons, the children will participate in a diverse array of activities, sports and excursions.
During each activity, the children will have fun, lean new skills and have the opportunity to mix with residential campers who are from all around the world.
Marmots (Day Camps)
This exciting activity program will run separately from the regular Altitude Summer Camps, enabling the staff to focus 100% on providing the younger children with the best possible experience.
Group sizes are reduced to 1:4 and are run by the qualified and specialised staff.
With a new activity to enjoy each day, thi camp keeps the little ones entertained and introduces them to a camp life.

Camp Structure
For the younger campers, Altitude offers a varied schedule of sports, mountains adventures, arts & crafts and team games. The children meet with their activity leader at 9:00 to start the morning activity session and activities will be either based on the grounds of the cosy Swiss chalet or in the surrounding environment.
A healthy lunch will be served at the chalet before the children leave to go back home at 13:00.
Verbier
Located on a sunny plateau above the picturesque valley of "Val de Bognes", the village of Verbier attracts visitors and celebrities from all over the world in both the winter and summer seasons.
In the winter is is known as one ot the best ski resorts in the world, and in the summer the resort offers a lot of hiking trails, mountain bike opportunities, the world famous classical musi event "Verbier Festival", the international show jumping competition, the Grand Raid and even the Tour de France.

Luxury Accommodation & Healthy Food
Altitude's Residential Camps includes full board accommodation in Verbier, Switerland. The high quality accommodation is provided within typically Swiss private chalets that are conviniently located within walking distance of the centre of Verbier.
Altitude understands the importance of quality, healthy and nutritious food. For this reason, Altitude only uses experienced staff and all food is freshly prepared on the day.
Children are provided with breakfast, lunch and a 2 course evening meal.

Girls and boys have separate sleeping areas that provide them with enough personal space to relax, chat with friends and share bunk time and stories.

Children are encouraged to keep their rooms tidy and to always show consideration to the other children they are sharing with.

Language Courses - adults and teens 15+
Language Courses are an ideal way for adults and teens aged 15+ to experience and enjoy the benefits of developing English and French language skills during a stay in Verbier.
With a native and experienced language teachers offering tuition to the highest standard, these courses provide an opportunity to improve and enhance your language skills; for everyone from beginner through to expert.
All the courses are run on a private basis. Whether you’re new to the language or looking to enhance your career by refining your business language skills, the qualified teachers will tailor the course to you and your specific needs.
Explore the programme options for adults and older teens while younger children are kept busy on their altitude day or residential camp.
Course Structure
Altitude's unique programmes allow to tailor the course around you, your commitments and your goals. Whether you wish to participate in just 1 or 2 hourly sessions per week or opt for a more intensive 5 day course, Altitude's staff will work with you pre-arrival to ensure a course that is right for you.
WHY ALTITUDE
SAFETY
With a maximum of 50 campers per session and small group sizes with a staff to camper ratio of 1:8 or 1:4 for the youngest Marmot campers, all the campers are known on an individual basis by each member of staff. This positive and supportive "home from home" environment allows children to learn new skills and navigate new experiences, while remaining safe and happy at camp.
PROFESSIONALISM
Altitude camps are run by an experienced management team. Director Laura and her team provide a bespoke personal service to every parent right through from camper registration to the end of their stay. The residential campers stay in the private Swiss-style chalets, with healthy cuisine provided by own chefs.
TEAM SPIRIT
Altitude small camp with its family atmosphere means that campers form close international friendships whilst learning new skills and making memories to last a lifetime. Most of the staff are returning or employed by Altitude year-round, and this dedicated staff team adds to the strong sense of community at camp. Many campers are excited to come back each year to reunite with staff, their camp friends and even bring new friends from home!
EDUCATION
Altitude only employ qualified and experienced staff, with native French and English-speaking language teachers and native English-speaking staff for activities programme. Refined, structured camp programmes have been carefully developed over the years to ensure each one provides a fun and valuable learning experience, as well as developing campers’ self-esteem and independence.
