Les Sources de Caudalie, located among the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, a Graves great growth, was established in 1999. The concept behind Les Sources de Caudalie is inspired by the "French Paradox", discovered over 20 years ago. It refers to a study proving that the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conducive to good health.
Between vineyards and forests, at only 20 minutes from Bordeaux center, the architect Yves Collet created from scratch contemporary buildings from recycled local materials in tune with the surroundings.
Alice and Jérôme Tourbier have managed Les Sources de Caudalie for the past ten years in keeping with the values they hold dear: well-being, generosity, authenticity, high-quality service, and emotion. Welcome to a universe where everything is devoted to nature, taste and senses.

ROOMS & SUITES
The 40 rooms and 9 suites are named and decorated in keeping with different facets of the Aquitaine region.
The five cottages also revolve around the region's rich, varied culture as reflected in paintings, antiques, and warm-coloured fabrics.

RESTAURANTS
Nicolas Masse initiates you into the secrets of fine food combining flavour, balance and creativity at the 1-Michelin star restaurant La Grande'Vigne.
La Table du Lavoir serves delicious, unusual, bistro-style food with the finest seasonal products.
AIn the 19th century, winegrower's wives would come here to use a wash house that has since been rebuilt stone by stone.
The roof structure was built with 18th century beams recovered from cellars at Château Lafite-Rothschild, and the glass door can be opened, weather permitting to enjoy meals on the covered terrace. Meat roasting in the huge period fireplace releases delicious smells while clients read menus written on antique laundry beaters.
The unmatched cutlery, purchased by weight, sits atop traditional and antique tablecloths. Country-inn open every day from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00.
The French Paradox Bar opens onto the wine cellar where 1,200 precious bottles are stored. The cosy atmosphere, club armchairs and wooden floor, invite guests to enjoy a great collection of old Armargnacs, Cognacs, Whiskies...
The enchanting Tour de la Dégustation, ("Tasting Tower") overlooks Les Sources de Caudalie and the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. A lounge with a half-British, half-Cuban feel is the ideal place for relaxing and enjoying the exceptional view of the vineyard.
At Les Sources de Caudalie, bottles are served and appreciated respecting the traditional "French wine-tasting art". The cellar holds 16,000 bottles from the most attractive wine producing regions in the world. The Head Sommelier Aurélien Farrouil knows every nook and cranny, and monitors the development of each magnificent wine.

The refined atmosphere of the treatment rooms, the blend of noble materials uniting wood and stone, and the size of the building, reminiscent of an old tobacco kiln; all were designed to harmonize perfectly with the great landscape of the vineyards and give the relaxation lounges a distinctive style.
Unique treatments combine the virtues of natural hot spring water drawn from 540 meters beneath the earth - rich in minerals and oligo-elements - with the most recent scientific discoveries of the benefits of the grape and the grapevine.
