Uniquely located right at the Limmat, overlooking the wonderful reflection of the Grossmünster in the water at night, the Storchen is predestinated for fish dish lovers.
It is not known exactly how the hotel got its name "Zum Storchen". Legend has it that the name was adopted after a pair of rare black storks nested on its roof. In 1357 the "Hus zum Storchen" was mentioned in the tax records for the city of Zürich for the first time and just over 100 years later, it was specifically described as an inn.

• TERRACE LA RÔTISSERIE
Zurich's most beautiful terrace directly above the Limmat with a view of Grossmünster and the mountains is open from May to October if the weather is fine. From breakfast, lunch and dinner it serves the same menu as in the restaurant La Rôtisserie.
• CIGAR BAR
Take a look inside the humidor, choose your favourite from a selection of 30 different cigars from various countries, and then sit back, relax and enjoy. A hint of Cuba, a whiff of Barbados: silky rings of aromatic smoke float gently upwards towards the ceiling – that's savoir-vivre in the heart of Zurich. • BARCHETTA
In the bar directly at the Limmat you feel a bit like in Venice - the meeting point at Weinplatz! Daniel Boubakri and his barteam prepare top class cocktails. Afterwork, before or after dinner - the Barchetta Bar is worth a visit at any time of the day. Under the arcades directly by the water, you can enjoy exclusive drinks and fine food all year round. Fredi Nussbaum and his team prepare a wide variety of delicacies from 11:30 - fast and delicious!
• PIAZZA
Piazza is open for you during the summer months from April to September. It serves Italian-inspired dishes and drinks in the piazza, always when the weather is pleasant. From creamy cappuccino and antipasti to cocktails - Italianità interpreted in a modern way conjures up a bit of Dolce far Niente on the Limmat. Enjoy the small oasis in the middle of the old town, directly at the Limmat and enjoy the hustle and bustle around you.
